Ausland farm is located in Evje, Norway, the header image shows the farm as it was in 1898. Halvor Ausland was born in this house in 1902. He attended school in Evje, Norway until the eighth grade and then went to work in a nickle mine at the age of nine years old. In 1920, my father Halvor Ausland moved to Canada and eventually moved to Saskatchwan.
The farm is no longer in the Aasland family possession having been sold by his widow Siri Aasland after her husband, Halvor Knutdsen Aasland passed away. The Following photographs show the farm as it is now, having been renovated and some buildings added.
