Fred's Photo's One

Caribou. Caribou.
Webmaster's Note:

The following pictorial web pages contain a series of photographs of trapline scenes, trappers and residents of Northern Saskatchewan. The photographs were taken by Fred Darbyshire and Ed Theriau during the years they trapped and travelled in the Poorfish (Russell) Lake, Close Lake and Pinehouse areas of northern Saskatchewan. Unfortunately, at this time, I have been unable to identify many of the people and specific places depicted in these photographs. Most of the photographs were taken at, and upon entry and departure, from Fred and Ed's trapping territory west of Wollaston Lake, Saskatchewan. My sincere thanks to Mrs. Nora Darbyshire for allowing me the use some of her husband's photographs in these web pages. It is my hope, that in the future, I will be able to access more of Mrs. Darbyshire's photographs, and identify many of the people and places shown.
